    The accelerating development and great expansion in the development, industry, construction, transportation and agriculture sectors at the national, regional and international level have led to the emergence of many environmental problems in both developing and developed countries. Also, the technology developments and uses, as well as the depletion of natural resources, result in various types of pollutants, which negatively affect the environment surrounding humans.<\/p>\n

    For this reason, it has been necessary to provide consultations, conduct environmental studies and offer advice and develop solutions to reduce pollution, preserve the environment and its natural resources, achieve the principles of sustainable development adopted by KSA and a number of other countries and employ the modern technologies and its uses in order to be more effective and less harmful so that they would conform to the norms, standards, national and global environmental guidelines and to keep pace with the interests and aspirations of the Kingdom towards achieving the environmental goals and requirements in line with 2030 Vision of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

    Believing in the principles that seek to preserve the environment from the pollution, preserve the natural resources and destiny of future generations, the Environmental Studies & Consultations Office \u201cESCO\u201d was founded in 1418 A.H.\/1997 A.D. as a national institution that contributes to the achievement of the national and international environmental goals within the Kingdom.<\/p>\n
