أدّى التطور المتسارع والتوسع الكبير في قطاع التنمية والصناعة، والتشييد والنقل والزراعة على الصعيد الوطني، والإقليمي والعالمي، إلى ظهور العديد من المشاكل البيئية المختلفة في الدول النامية والمتقدمة على حد سواء.
كما أنَّ تطورات التقنية واستخداماتها، وكذلك استنزاف الموارد الطبيعية، ينتج عنها أنواعا مختلفة من الملوثات، حيث تؤثر سلبا على البيئة المحيطة بالإنسان.
ولأجل ذلك، أصبح ضروريًا توفير الاستشارات، وإجراء الدراسات البيئية وتقديم النصح، ووضع الحلول الكفيلة للحدِّ من التَّلوث، والمحافظة على البيئة وصيانة مواردها الطبيعية، وتحقيق مبادئ التّنمية المستدامة، التي تتبناها المملكة العربية السعودية والعديد من دول العالم، وأيضًا توظيف التقنيات الحديثة واستخداماتها؛ لتكون أكثر نفعا وأقل ضررا، حتى تتوافق مع المعايير والمقاييس، والإرشادات البيئية الوطنية والعـــالمية، وتواكب اهتمامات وتطلّعات المملكة نحو تحقيق الأهداف والمتطلبات البيئية، وفقًا لرؤية المملكة 2030 .
وإيمانا بالمبادئ التي تسعى إلى حماية البيئة من التّلوث، وحماية مواردها الطبيعية، والحفاظ على مقدرَّات الأجيال القادمة، أُسِّست شركة إسكو للاستشارات البيئية في عام 1418هـ 1997م، بصفتها مؤسسة وطنية تساهم في تحقيق الأهداف البيئية الوطنية، والعالمية في المملكة.
تعد شركة إسكو للاستشارات البيئية أوَّل شركة استـــشـارية متخـصّصة فـــي مجـال الاستشارات والدِّراسات البيئية فـــــي الممـلـكـــــة العــــربــيـــــة السعـــوديـــة، بترخيص مهني يحمل الرقم (1) .
وقد تأسست إسكو بهدف دمج الخبرات والقدرات الوطنية مع بيوتات الخبرة، والجهات المتخصِّصة الإقليمية والعالميــة؛ لتلبية متطلَّبات كافّة القطاعات العامة والخاصة، وتوفير الخدمات الاستشارية المتخصصة في مجال حماية البيئة، وصــيانة مواردها، وإيجاد الحلول العلمية والعملية لمختلف المشكلات البيئية.

توفير خدمات متميزة ومرجعية في مجالات الاستشارات والدراسات المتعلقة بحماية البيئة والتنمية المستدامة والصحة العامة والسلامة المهنية، بما يتوافق مع المتطلبات والمقاييس والمعايير والإرشادات الوطنية والعالمية؛ لتحقيق رؤى المملكة نحو تنمية مستدامة.

تقديم الاستشارات والدراســـات والخدمـــات، والحلـــول المتخصصة فــي مشـــاريع البيــئة والتنمية المستدامة، والصحة العامة والسلامة المهنية، بواسطة خبرات وطنية مؤهلة، بالتعاون مع مؤسسات وبيوت خبرة وطنية ودولية مختلفة.

Our Story
The accelerating development and great expansion in the development, industry, construction, transportation and agriculture sectors at the national, regional and international level have led to the emergence of many environmental problems in both developing and developed countries. Also, the technology developments and uses, as well as the depletion of natural resources, result in various types of pollutants, which negatively affect the environment surrounding humans.
For this reason, it has been necessary to provide consultations, conduct environmental studies and offer advice and develop solutions to reduce pollution, preserve the environment and its natural resources, achieve the principles of sustainable development adopted by KSA and a number of other countries and employ the modern technologies and its uses in order to be more effective and less harmful so that they would conform to the norms, standards, national and global environmental guidelines and to keep pace with the interests and aspirations of the Kingdom towards achieving the environmental goals and requirements in line with 2030 Vision of the Kingdom.
Believing in the principles that seek to preserve the environment from the pollution, preserve the natural resources and destiny of future generations, the Environmental Studies & Consultations Office “ESCO” was founded in 1418 A.H./1997 A.D. as a national institution that contributes to the achievement of the national and international environmental goals within the Kingdom.
The Environmental Studies & Consultations Office “ESCO” is the first advice-giving office specialized in the field of environmental consultations and studies in KSA, with a professional license No. (1). ESCO was established for the sake of integrating the national expertise and capacities with expertise house and regional and international specialized authorities to meet the requirements of all public and private sectors and offer consultancy services in the field of environmental preservation, conservation of the natural resources and find scientific and practical solutions to the various environmental problems.
ESCO has gained the trust of many public and private sector institutions, as a result of the accumulated broad experience acquired through the implementation of several projects, studies and various researches with an outstanding performance. This brochure provides an overview of the role of the Environmental Studies & Consultations Office “ESCO” in addition to the achievements in such field.
Objective
Offering distinguished and reference services in the fields of consultations, studies related to the environmental preservation and sustainable development, public health and occupational safety in conformity with the requirements and standards as well as national and international standards and guidelines in order to achieve the visions of the Kingdom towards sustainable development.

To provide consultations, studies, services and solutions specialized in the projects of environment, sustainable development, public health and occupational safety using qualified national expertise, in cooperation with various national and international institutions and consultancy firms.

Our Strategy
Our strategy in ESCO stems from our understanding of the importance of the environment and the role of the consultant in the effective contribution in laying the foundations for sustainable development, preservation of the environment, and conservation of its natural resources.
- Selection of experts and consultants who have distinguished degrees and competencies from inside and outside Saudi Arabia.
- To find collaboration channels with international organizations, scientific institutions and specialized research institutes for sharing information and experiences.
- Integration of national and international expertise and capacities to achieve the national environmental goals and visions.
- Effective participation in local, regional and international conferences, seminars and workshops specialized in the environment affairs in order to keep pace with the developments in the field of environmental preservation and conservation of natural resources.
